Services for Mike Gendke, 75, of Keene, Texas, will begin with visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at Rosser Funeral Home, in Cleburne. His graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at Keene Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Dale Wolfe officiating. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. at the Joshua SDA Church.
Serving as Pallbearers will be David Bayless, Donald Hines, Art Rasmussen, David Stair, Thomas Alberti, and Jason Hill.
Pastor Gendke fell asleep in Christ Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at his home. He was born in Pasadena, Texas, on Aug. 5, 1943, the son of Alner Arelee (Boldt) and Robert Herman Erwin Gendke.
Mike and Margie (Alberti) Gendke were married May 8, 1968. in LaPorte, Texas.
He was a retired Pastor of the Alvarado Seventh-day Adventist Church and was a member of the Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harland Gendke; and sister, Jean Hill.
Pastor Gendke is survived by his wife, Margie Gendke, of Keene; sons, Brady Gendke and wife, Joanna, and Bo Gendke and wife, Deborah, all of Burleson, Texas, and Buc Gendke and wife, Lindsey, of Keene; brother, Lee Roy Gendke, of Center, Texas; grandchildren, Madilyn and husband, Manrique Gonzalez, Megan, Taylor, Emma, Max, Sam, and Seth; great-grandchild, Sophia Gonzalez; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
