Vernon Wayne Johnson, 75, of Joshua, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 in Burleson, Texas.
Visitation was at Mountain Valley Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2018. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at First United Methodist Church of Joshua. The graveside service followed the funeral at Caddo Cemetery in Joshua.

Vernon was born Nov. 28, 1942, to Lecil and Fredda Johnson, in Cleburne, Texas. He served in the Air Force followed by a 37 year career at Bell Helicopter.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie (Anderson) Johnson; children, Robert Johnson, Ronda (Johnson) Davis and husband, Stephen Davis, and Devin Johnson and wife, Keri (Schneck) Johnson; sisters, Lynda Prynka and husband, Leonard Prynka, Glenda Dunn and husband, Ricky Dunn; brother, Dennis Johnson and wife, Ruby; grandchildren, Haley, Jordan, John "J" Davis, Lainey and Marley Johnson, Landon Crutchfield, Jaydon Doyle; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
